As the current President of the Osmania Graduates’ Association (OGA), Prof. Tirumala Vangipuram Gopala Chary leads an organization that has played a pivotal role in the educational, social, and economic upliftment of Telangana for over nine decades. Founded in 1932 by visionary graduates of Osmania University during a period of socio-political unrest under Nizam’s rule, OGA has grown into a dynamic force for educational development in the region. In collaboration with its sister organization, the Exhibition Society, OGA has established an extensive network of institutions—including high schools, postgraduate colleges, polytechnics, ITIs, and an engineering college—currently serving over 30,000 students. Flagship institutions such as Sarojini Naidu Vanita Maha Vidyalaya, Kasturba Gandhi College, Sardar Patel College, and Lal Bahadur College stand as enduring symbols of OGA’s commitment to inclusive, accessible, and quality education.
Prof. Chary’s leadership is driven by a deep belief in education as the foundation for sustainable social change. He is especially committed to continuing OGA’s legacy of innovation—from initiating IAS coaching in the 1950s to establishing teacher education and vocational training centers in rural Telangana. As President, he prioritizes women’s education, rural outreach, and institutional excellence. For Prof. Chary, leading OGA is both a privilege and a profound responsibility—to preserve its values, broaden its impact, and ensure its continued service to future generations.

In alignment with the decisions of the Osmania Graduates’ Association (OGA), Prof. Tirumala Vangipuram Gopala Chary has ensured the diligent implementation of all proposed initiatives across the institutions under OGA’s purview. His leadership reflects a strong commitment to translating the association’s collective vision into actionable outcomes that strengthen educational delivery and institutional development.
Secretary - Term II
As part of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of the Osmania Graduates’ Association (OGA), Prof. Tirumala Vangipuram Gopala Chary played a key role in organizing a grand commemorative event that brought together several distinguished dignitaries from both state and national levels. To mark this historic milestone, he also spearheaded the launch of a series of academic programs aimed at enriching the educational experience and overall development of students across OGA institutions.
During his tenure as Secretary of OGA Prof. Chary had the honor of inviting and hosting several eminent personalities, including renowned scientists Dr. M.G.K. Menon, Dr. K. Kasturirangan, and the former Prime Minister Sri P.V. Narasimha Rao Garu, Their presence at OGA events significantly enriched the academic environment and contributed to the Association’s vision of fostering intellectual and societal growth.

Prof. Tirumala Vangipuram Gopala Chary actively contributed to the successful organization of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Osmania Graduates’ Association (OGA), ensuring the event was conducted with grandeur and significance. He has consistently remained engaged in the activities of the Association, working closely with the Managing Committee and playing a key role in the planning and implementation of numerous developmental initiatives across various OGA institutions. His efforts have significantly strengthened the Association’s impact on educational advancement and institutional growth

As President of the Osmania Graduates’ Association (OGA), Prof. Tirumala Vangipuram Gopala Chary has initiated several academic programs focused on enhancing the professional development of both teachers and students across OGA institutions. During his current term, he remains committed to introducing and implementing forward-thinking ideologies and innovative initiatives that reflect the evolving educational landscape. With a clear vision for progress, Prof. Chary aims to successfully realize these plans and contribute meaningfully to the sustained growth, relevance, and academic excellence of the institutions under OGA’s banner.
Secretary -Term I
Prof. Tirumala Vangipuram Gopala Chary played a pivotal role in the establishment of three Colleges of Education under the joint auspices of the Osmania Graduates' Association (OGA) and the Exhibition Society. These institutions include L.B. College of Education, Warangal, OGA & ES College of Education, Pargi, and Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy College of Education, Kalwakurthy. As part of this initiative, he successfully facilitated the procurement of 20 acres of land—10 acres each in Pargi and Kalwakurthy—laying the groundwork for the development and long-term sustainability of these educational institutions.​
